Efficient Technology Inc (ETI) considers the privacy of customer's and user's client data to be extremely sensitive data and has established a policy regarding client data and the use of Quik! software. By visiting an ETI website and/or using an ETI product, you are accepting the practices described in this Client Data Policy.
All ETI software installed by you on a computer or server you own or manage, or is managed on your behalf by a third party ("your computer"), is under your control and not ETI. Any client data that is accessible to the ETI software on your computer is your responsibility to manage and secure. ETI software will never send your client data to a third-party or to ETI without your consent and knowledge. ETI software is designed to NOT transmit, send or share your client data with ETI personnel or systems and nobody at ETI has access to your client data in any form. When working with ETI customer service personnel you should not share or show your data with ETI personnel.
If the ETI software is used for filling out forms and the form and/or form data is submitted by you by clicking a Submit or similar button, you understand that you are agreeing at that moment to share the data on that form with the recipient of the submit action. The submit action of any form is between you and the owner of your customer account or your relationship with a parent company (e.g. Broker/Dealer, clearing firm, product company) and your data is never sent to ETI during that event. ETI requires all submit events to be secured with 128-bit SSL protection by the recipient to ensure that your transmitted data is encrypted while being sent.
If using an ETI website to interact with client data, retrieve client data from a third-party, or enter client data manually, ETI takes security precautions to ensure that:
a. Your client data is never written to the hard-drive of an ETI web server or ETI-controlled database.
b. Your client data is removed from session memory after your web session ends via either a log-out event, session time-out or if you close all your browser windows.
c. Your client data is never shared by ETI with any third-parties or ETI employees during the time that you are interacting with your client data.
d. If your client data is retrieved from a third-party system, all transmissions are secured with 128-bit SSL security by ETI and the third-party.
Efficient Technology Inc is not in the business of storing client data and designs solutions that do not require or even allow ETI to store your client data. It is your responsibility to manage or contract with another party to manage your client data. ETI assures you that your client data is safe when using Quik! or any other ETI solution.
